About The Band

Banner Mountain Blues Band, Northern California's finest blues band, brings their high energy, quality, and variety of hand-selected music to weddings, birthdays and corporate events. Banner Mountain Blues Band draws songs from '50s, old school Vintage blues, Chicago blues, Delta blues, Texas blues, contemporary blues, and blues rock. The band loves to delve into Funk and R&B as well. A collection of fun and highly danceable cover songs that connects with crowds, both young and old!

About the Band

Banner Mountain Blues hails from the foothills of Nevada County California and was born in Nevada City in the winter of 2019. Soon they had their debut gig at a busy cocktail bar, The Golden Era, in downtown Nevada City on February 10th, 2020.

Jerry Earwood (lead vocals and harmonica) and Visa Eksyma (Guitar and Vocals) became fast friends after sharing a stage at an event Spring of 2018. Together they crafted a repertoire of songs ranging from 50’s old school to modern blues and blues/rock to R&B/soul and funk. They handpicked songs ranging from Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Little Walter to Fabulous Thunderbirds, to Paul Butterfield Blues Band, to Robert Cray, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton, along with other contemporary blues greats such as Tommy Castro and The Painkillers!
